Brookfield Opens 2nd Luxury Tower on Jersey City Waterfront
VYV South Tower is the second of two connected buildings that total 853 units.
The second part of the VYV luxury residences has been unveiled by developer Brookfield Properties in Jersey City, N.J. VYV South Tower is the second of two connected towers at 444 Warren St., standing next to VYV’s three-year-old, 421-unit north tower.
The 35-story south tower includes 432 apartments in a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans. Apartments range in size from 528 square feet for studios to 1,368 square feet for some two-bedroom units. Residences offer walk-in closets, in-unit washers and dryers, Moen fixtures, terraces and stainless steel appliances.
Amenity deck
The towers are connected at the eighth floor level by a sprawling indoor- and outdoor- amenity deck. Residents of both buildings can access the deck year-round for recreation, relaxation and experiences. Among the common-area amenities of VYV South Tower are dedicated lounge spaces with fireplaces, games and media rooms.
The south tower’s opening is contemporaneous with the unveiling on the eighth floor amenity deck of a signature interactive sculpture created by artist Maximilian Pelzmann. The sculpture, titled Pavilion, has been created to be moved, touched, and viewed from inside and out, allowing for interaction by VYV’s residents.
VYV’s towers are within walking distance of Jersey City’s Harsimus Cove station, and are minutes from Newport Marina, Harsimus Cove, Hamilton Park and Paulus Hook Pier. Restaurants and nightlife venues abound along the trendy, upscale waterfront and elsewhere in the neighborhood.
Last week, Brookfield Properties made news by partnering with AvalonBay in a venture to revitalize a Seattle shopping mall by adding a residential component.
