Avenida Partners has completed another senior housing community in Tennessee, after opening its Album Indian Lake project in Hendersonville, Tenn. The firm tapped McShane Construction Co. to build the project, and Poole & Poole Architecture for architectural services.

Album Indian Lake is currently open and ready for move-ins, but the units are reserved for residents 55 and up. The 138-unit community offers its one- and two-bedroom units that range from 627 to 1,192 square feet throughout three-story buildings. The units were built with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and tile backsplashes.

Avenida Partners was looking to develop a senior living residence for active seniors, so the firm included 20,000 square feet of amenity space. The 6,000 square feet of interior amenity space includes a detached clubhouse, media and game lounge, arts studio, bistro and fitness studio. The exterior amenities include a pool, fire pit, pickleball court, game lawn, pet park, grilling stations and community gardens. Album Indian Lake also offers private garages, car ports and electric vehicle charging stations.

Jason Breden, vice president & director of Nashville operations at McShane Construction Co., said in prepared remarks that Album Indian Lake offers a great alternative to traditional senior living with well-designed units and plenty of amenities and programming.

BUILDING SENIOR HOUSING ACROSS THE U.S.

For Avenida, Album Indian Lake represents its 12th project. The firm previously worked with Passco Cos. to develop two senior housing developments in Palm Desert, Calif., and Germantown, Tenn., each with 161 units.

Album Indian Lake also represents the second time that Avenida and McShane Construction Co. are working together. The two companies previously teamed up to develop Avenida Naperville, in Naperville, Ill., a similarly-designed senior living community with 146 units.

McShane Construction Co. has equally worked on other senior housing projects alongside a variety of other developers. In June, the company completed construction on The Oaks at Algonquin, a 166-unit senior housing community in Algonquin, Ill., for Spectrum Retirement Communities. In November, McShane Construction Co. completed construction on Stonepointe, a 238-unit affordable senior housing residence in Stonecrest, Ga., for Dominium.
