Kitchener, Ontario—Ariston has introduced a space saving and energy efficient laundry solution for a wide variety of housing situations. At only 24 inches wide, the new ARWDF 129 & 129S Combination Washer/Dryers are compact units that are an easy fit for apartment renters or home owners with extra occupants.
The all-in-one unit uses condensation technology to contain and reuse the hot air created in the drying process. Excess moisture leaves through a drain hose. This feature has several advantages over traditional vented dryers, which create massive heat loss through the multiple vents of a multifamily property. With no need for vents, developers will save money on both materials and labor.
“Multifamily builders and developers can minimize space and installation requirements with a single, ventless unit,” says Marco D’Arsie, Ariston’s North American sales manager. “And, at the end of the day, the resident has a high performance washer and dryer.”
But the little workhorse is no energy hog. Using only 115 kWh hours of electricity per year, it is one of the most energy efficient laundry units on the market. There is no sacrifice on the level of quality clothes care either, with 13 different wash cycles, 3 dry cycles and Woolmark Platinum Care certification, the user won’t have to worry about shrinking their favorite sweater.
