Arbor Realty Trust Inc. welcomed a new vice president to its Chicago team. Sam Gold will oversee the Freddie Mac SBL, Fannie Mae and FHA loans provided to clients in Dallas, Chicago, Milwaukee and other areas in the Midwest. He will report directly to John Caulfield, Arbor’s Agency Lending COO.

“Sam joins Arbor with a successful track record of originating agency products and brings broad industry knowledge, from credit to asset management to securitization to portfolio management,” said Caulfield in prepared remarks.

A 15-year real estate veteran, Gold spent the last seven years with JP Morgan Chase, where he climbed from a vice president position to that of executive director and client manager. His expertise spans over several areas involving multifamily transactions, including loan origination, assessing risk, credit, underwriting and portfolio review. This brought him several recognitions in the region for new originations, production and performance. Prior to JP Morgan Chase, Gold worked for Sovereign Bank/Banco Santander. He is a graduate of Miami University and holds an MBA from DePaul University.
