Alno Introduces ‘Kitchen of Tomorrow’ with New Ceramic Front Surface
Multifamily designers now have the option for a truly unique kitchen effect thanks to Alno’s introduction of CERA, a new frontal surface made from micro-fine oxides and silicides.
As cliché as the saying may be, home is where the heart is and the kitchen is certainly the heart of the home. The same rings true for any well-thought-out apartment design. Just because your residents eat out every night at the great restaurants that are ideally in walking distance from your community doesn’t mean that they don’t want a beautiful kitchen. And who knows, maybe they like to play “Top Chef” once a month.
Multifamily designers now have the option for a truly unique kitchen effect thanks to Alno’s introduction of CERA, a new frontal surface made from micro-fine oxides and silicides. The European cabinet manufacturer is now offering this 100 percent natural ceramic surface in the U.S. Best of all, CERA surpasses all American environmental standards and requirements.
Alno Cera in Oxide AvorioThe material itself evokes the texture and multifaceted look that, according to Alno, represents the crust of planets in our solar system. This is fitting considering that the CERA manufacturing techniques are similar to those used in producing ceramic tiles for spacecraft. CERA is available in three tones: oxide nero (dark grey-brown), oxide avorio (pearl white) and oxide grigio (clay/putty-toned). The surface itself has a natural feel, and is durable, scratch and heat resistant, and easy to clean—all important qualities for anything put into an apartment kitchen.
