Aegis Living Launches Development Affiliate
The new company will offer consulting services in senior housing development, design and more.

Aegis Living, a 25-year-old senior housing and memory care company, has launched an affiliate. Aegis Development LLC is set to offer development consulting services to the senior housing industry.
The new company will be run by senior leaders from Aegis Living. Among them is Adam Clark, president, with nearly 20 years of employment at Aegis Living, Brian Palmore, senior vice president of development, and Jeanna Korbas, vice president of design. Korbas and Palmore both bring 20-plus years of design and development expertise.
In prepared remarks, Dwayne Clark, founder, chairman & CEO of Aegis Living, said that purpose-built development of senior living has always been a key aspect of Aegis Living’s mission. These practices will be shared, through Aegis Development, with other senior housing and care centers.
Aegis Living has won several awards for its development and design in senior living communities, including taking home the Gold for development and design in MHN’s 2021 Excellence Awards.

Services offered through Aegis development will include market analysis, aid with site selection, development, design, general contracting and subcontracting guidance and financial consulting. The company will also consult on sustainable development, ESG commitments and market strategies.
Market analytics, go-to-market strategy, green building and financing will be facilitated in-house. Development consulting will outline building plans and recommendations for construction and engineering firms. Design consulting will entail strategic oversight and planning.
In markets outside of Aegis Living’s, the affiliate company with contract with senior housing properties. It will not act as an operator on its consulting projects.
Aegis Development is not the only affiliate company Aegis Living has created. Recently, it also launched Kalon Care, a staffing agency for senior assisted living in Washington.
Projects with Aegis Development are set to begin in 2023.
