$84M Senior Living Center to Rise in Dallas
C.C. Young's new transitional living center is the first component of a master plan that will transform the community's current 20-acre campus.

Dallas—Non-profit senior living community C. C. Young is adding more senior housing to Dallas, with plans for a 10-level, $84 million integrated transitional living center called The Vista. The 221-unit community is schedule for completion in 2018 and Dallas-based D2 Architecture is scheduled to design the building.
The development marks the first phase of C. C. Young’s master plan to transform its existing 20-acre campus near Dallas’ White Rock Lake. The campus currently comprises eight buildings, offering services such as independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home services and more.
“We are excited to break ground on this new integrated transitional living center that will allow us the flexibility to adapt our level of care to the changing market demands, while providing our residents with the support they need and amenities they desire,” said Russell Crews, president & CEO of C. C. Young.
The Vista will be a 325,000-square-foot health care center connecting to the existing Blanton Assisted Living. The community will include spaces for group activities, hobbies and personal time. The new 221 residences are adaptable for assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation and offer features like balconies and operable windows.
Since The Vista will be cut into the side of a hill, D2 Architecture chose a darker brick base with a cream-colored facade. The community will also promote green space and offer floor-to-ceiling windows with view of East Dallas, Flag Pole Hill and White Rock Lake. Amenities will include inpatient and outpatient rehab with an aquatic therapy center, grand hall, expanded dining, family rooms, meditation chapel, art galley, gift shop, wood shop and multiple gardens, including a top-level garden where skilled nursing rehab will be located.
