Detroit—Bedrock has revealed the details of its latest project planned for downtown Detroit.

Located at 28 W. Grand River Ave., 28 Grand is a 13-story, mixed-use project with a strong residential component. The development includes 218 micro-lofts and 4,500 square feet of first-floor retail space.

The rental apartments are designed for young residents looking to live in the core of the city. The fully furnished units have an average size of 260 square feet and feature flat screen TVs, large windows with views of Capitol Park and high-speed internet, plus utilities covered by the rental price. The project includes 85 apartments for residents who qualify for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, while the rest are market-rate units.

Amenities include on-site laundry, ground-floor bike storage and a 3,500-square-foot community space where residents can meet, cook and socialize. This includes a community lounge and kitchen, outdoor terrace (with ample seating space and grill) and fitness center.

Bedrock, Kraemer Design Group, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and Walbridge are part of the development team. The building is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017.
