Santa Barbara, Calif.—Yardi announced its participation in a session at next month’s 2013 NAA Conference & Expo that will offer insight into how managers of rental properties can maximize revenue with automated revenue management systems.

More than 6,200 multifamily property managers, developers and suppliers will gather in San Diego June 19-22 for the 2013 NAA Education Conference & Exposition, which is sponsored by the National Apartment Association.

Four industry experts leading the session, titled “Integrating a Revenue Management System into Your Operations: Managing the Human Factor,” will focus on all factors that comprise a new philosophy of pricing for rental units, not merely price itself. Attendees will learn about the technical aspects of implementing and maintaining automated revenue management systems. The session leaders will also share tips for winning the organizational buy-in necessary to synthesize information about availability, traffic and competition into the maximum revenue that the market will bear.

The speakers—Kenneth W. Hodges, vice president of information technology for Western National Group; Jennifer van Arcken, director of information systems for BSR Trust LLC; McCarley Davis, senior vice president of operations for Epoch Management Inc.; and Dharmendra Sawh, industry principal, revenue management, for Yardi—are experienced in successfully implementing, maintaining and refining revenue management systems. The 90-minute session is scheduled for June 20.
