Wood Partners Breaks Ground on Austin-Area Community
The luxury project is slated for completion in January 2023.
Wood Partners has started construction on another community in the growing Austin suburb of Georgetown, Texas. The developer recently broke ground on Alta Berry Creek and is planning to open the community in January 2023, with pre-leasing expected to start in late 2022.
The 300-unit luxury community will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units that will come with in-home washers and dryers, 42-inch kitchen cabinets and granite countertops, with select units offering upgraded technology packages. Alta Berry Creek’s amenities will include a pool, outdoor kitchen, pet park, fitness center, lounge, business center, dog wash stations and entertaining spaces.
Wood Partners is using one of its own companies as the project’s general contractor, but tapped the Design Balance Inc. as the architect for Alta Berry Creek. Wood Partners is also putting its in-house property management company, Wood Residential, in charge of the community’s leasing.
Located at 2201 SH 195, Alta Berry Creek will be located near Interstate 35, giving residents direct access to Austin and other major Texas cities like San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth. The community’s location in Georgetown also puts it close to major employers in the area including Apple, Dell, Samsung, GM, Emerson, The Home Depot Technology Center, HID, Tesla and many retail and healthcare companies.
ANOTHER ALTA IN GEORGETOWN
Alta Berry Creek will also be a part of the Berry Creek Highlands master-planned community being developed by Dwyer Realty Cos. The 314-acre project is currently under construction and is expected to bring more than 1,500 single-family homes, an elementary school, a more than 20-acre park and retail options when completed.
Wood Partners also recently completed Alta Austin Avenue, another community in Georgetown that the company broke ground on in January 2021. The 312-unit community is less than 5 miles away from Alta Berry Creek and also includes one-, two- and three-bedroom units. That same month, Wood Partners opened the doors of its 300-unit community in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas.
