Wood Partners has commenced construction on Alta Austin Avenue, a Class A property in Georgetown, Texas. The Austin suburb is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. Three months ago, Wood Partners sold a waterfront property in San Diego, Calif.

The multifamily property will include 312 apartments, in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Features and finishes of residences include stainless appliances from Whirlpool, 42-inch cabinets, wood-style flooring, granite countertops and designer tile backsplashes. A business center with micro office spaces leads the roster of amenities.

Situated at 2601 North Austin Ave., Alta Austin Avenue is set in a central location along heavily-trafficked I-35, affording convenient access to Austin, 30 miles south. The location also provides access to surrounding residential communities that include Round Rock, Leander, Hutto and Cedar Park. The region north of Austin has become a robust  employment center that is home to a number of household name employers. They include Dell, Samsung, GM, Emerson and the Home Depot Technology Center.

Having recently announced plans to relocate, Oracle Corp. and Tesla are among the major tech firms to take up Austin office space. Health care providers Baylor Scott & White Health, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and Seton Medical Center Williamson County also call the Georgetown area home.

In 2020, the U.S. Census released figures indicating Georgetown is the seventh-fastest growing city in the U.S. with a population of more than 50,000.
