Houston—Wood Partners LLC, a multifamily real estate company, recently announced that it would begin construction of a $32.4 million luxury apartment community in Houston.
The community, called Alta Woodlake Square, will be a three-story building with 256 units, including studios, one- and two- bedroom apartments. It will be located in the Westchase District, conveniently located near the Woodlake Square shopping center, which will also be reflected in the design of the building.
“This is a unique site as it is part of the newly-renovated Woodlake Square shopping center, which places our residents within walking distance of a variety of amenities,” Todd Gaines, Wood Partners development associate, tells MHN. “Walkability is rare for any part of Houston, thus our residents will love the convenience. Second, this site is close to three of Houston’s major job centers. Alta Woodlake is located in the Westchase District and minutes from the Galleria and the Energy Corridor, so our residents will have a short commute to work.”
Amenities in all units will include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and in-unit washers and dryers. Additionally, a percentage of the units will include a technology package, which includes an in-wall iPod docking station. The common area of Alta Woodlake Square will feature a pool, fitness center, barbecue area, outdoor kitchen and bar area.
Leasing will begin in March 2013, and move-ins will begin the following June.
