Windermere Real Estate added Brooks Burton to its team as chief operating officer. He will be responsible for driving company growth while overseeing the operational aspects of the business, including marketing, technology, professional development, legal and economics.
Burton’s background
Prior to joining Windermere’s Seattle office, Burton served as executive vice president and COO of HER Realtors and Trident Holdings. Back in May, HER Realtors opened a new branch in Central Ohio, a 2,126-square-foot property at 3806 N. High St. At HER Realtors, he was responsible for the management and development of various profit centers including commercial, property management, relocation and lead generation/disposition. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky.
“We still like to think of Windermere as a small, family-run business, but the reality is that we are now a 300-office, 10-state company and growing,” Geoff Wood, CEO of Windermere Real Estate, said. “As is often the case with Windermere, we didn’t pursue candidates for this position; rather, the right person came along who we knew would be a great addition to our company, and his skills and experience just happened to be the perfect fit for COO.”
