What’s on Residents’ Wish Lists?

Everything from an indoor heated pool to a dry cleaning service topped residents' wish lists this holiday season, in this month’s survey from MHN and Kingsley Associates.

This month, in a nod to the holiday season, MHN and Kingsley Associates partnered up to find out what’s on residents’ wish lists.

“I hope the sauna and gym are a serious upgrade and worth the wait because the construction noise is extreme!” –San Diego, Calif.

“I think we should have parking permits or something in our car for residents and there should be designated visitor parking! Whenever it’s a holiday, there is no parking and I have to drive around waiting for a spot.” –Allen, Texas

“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!  I can’t improve on excellence. The one thing I can recommend is that management give its maintenance staff a raise. Good help is hard to find and the service the staff provides is fast and beyond belief.” –Palo Alto, Calif.

“On my wish list……it would be great to have air conditioning. The portable unit does not work that well. Everything else is pretty good.” –Vancouver, B.C.

“I would love to see the finished workout area; I know it’s in the works. Also, I read The NY Times but cannot get it delivered, which is a bummer. Also would be nice to have a dry cleaning service available.” –Atlanta, Ga.

“Would love a better solution for the packages. The machine was moved to the basement but all packages are dumped in the mailroom on the floor. The building is always so clean. Nice job to the cleaning crew!” –Cambridge, Mass.

“Thank you for the community events at the lounge. Dream wish list:  indoor heated pool and a kids’ playground.” –Dallas, Texas

“We could use some updated appliances. I see other units getting new appliances whenever someone moves out. We’ve been in the same unit 3.5 years and would love a new dishwasher or fridge.” –Roswell, Ga.

“Loved the place, it’s just not great for anyone who is getting older and may need a better shower situation. We would definitely consider this place as I think it’s great, but would love to have a walk in shower vs a bathtub.” –Los Angeles, Calif.

“I would like to see the windows replaced and updated. All of the new apartments have new ‘energy efficient’ appliances, and I would love to see the buildings fully updated with better windows to make the apartments as energy efficient as possible.” –Belleville, Mich.

“My wish list includes three things: Removal of all the dead trees before something bad happens, Create a fenced in area for community dogs to run unleashed, Create a community center to store bikes for easy access.” –Rolling Meadows, Ill.

“I would love the whole apartment painted, wood floors or new carpet – some kind of an upgrade as I’ve lived in the apartment for twelve years.” –Franklin, Mass.
