Carlsbad, Calif.—California-based WESTliving has announced its plan to build an independent, assisted living and memory care seniors community in an upscale area of South Corona, Calif., in Riverside County.
Groundbreaking for master-planned Estancia Del Sol community is expected to begin this month with completion targeted for early 2015. Corona, Calif., is located about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles and boasts an average high temperature of 79.4 degrees.
The community, which will feature elements of Spanish-style architecture and landscaping, will consist of 91 assisted living and 21 memory care apartments and residents will have access to full-service fine dining, theatre, spa, fitness center, transportation services, as well as an assortment of activities and access to personal care and concierge services.
“Estancia Del Sol will bring a hospitality and boutique feel that will redefine senior living—a philosophy like this may not be what you’d expect from senior living, but we imagine seniors living in Corona will enjoy getting used to it,” says Patrick Collins, vice president of operations at WESTliving.
The community’s continuum of care model will help bring boutique-style living conveniences to the individual needs of all residents, including engaging activities such as beauty and spa treatments, wellness and fitness programs and personalized care.
Residents with minimal needs can arrange personalized care services that tailor to special diets, medication supervision, ambulation assistance, medical appointments, bathing dressing and personal grooming assistance, as well as assistance to meals and activities.
Resident requiring advanced care, including those with varying stages of Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses, will have access to The Renaissance memory care environment, which features therapeutic, holistic services that focus on meaningful connections and life-enriching experiences. The memory care setting is designed to emphasize safety and comfort for its residents.
