National real estate investment and management company Westdale and multifamily developer StreetLights Residential are teaming on a new Atlanta-area development.

Breaking ground in Sandy Springs, Ga., Aria Village will include a five-story residential community called The Alastair, along with 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. Part of a larger Ashton Woods master-planned community called Aria, Aria Village is StreetLights’ first Georgia development.

With the corporate relocation of Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters to Sandy Springs and the continued growth of the area, we believe incoming and existing residents will be attracted to the quality, boutique-style living that StreetLights offers,” said StreetLights senior vice president of development Fred Kay.

StreetLights is developing the project with SLR Construction LLC, the general contractor. Looney Ricks Kiss is the architect. Interior design is by 5G Studio, and landscape architecture is being handled by TBG Partners.

Aria Village is situated north of Atlanta, next to the new Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters. Boutique retail and a chef-centric restaurant on the Town Green will be components of the development, along with 357 luxury apartments. Residences will range in size from 701 to 2,068 square feet. One-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans will be included.

Slopes, crests and valleys

Aria Village is located among extensive greenery and trees. Residents will have access to new Aria hiking trails. The suite of amenities will include pool deck, co-working spaces, dog wash, two-story fitness facility and more. Inside the residences, features and finishes will include granite countertops, island seating, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances including gas ranges and a number of other distinctive features. Some of the residences will feature screened-in porches and side yards with stoop entries.

We’ve designed Aria as a ‘living symphony’ that combines the vibrancy of the city with the serenity of nature,” said Dwayne Hill, Ashton Woods Atlanta president.

“Our architectural design is unique to Atlanta, and works carefully with the slope, crests, and valleys of the land, making way for spectacular views and a unique living experience,” he added.
