Beaverton, Ore.—Starting today, the doors will swing open to residents at the newly built Victory Flats at Elmonica Station in Beaverton, Ore. The development is the work of Denver-based Simpson Housing  LLLP.

Victory Flats is set in a peaceful and forested environment, just steps from parks, recreation, retailing and nightlife. It is also situated next to the Elmonica/170th Avenue MAX Station, where residents can catch trains to Portland.

Tours of the decorated model, club housing and available apartments have resulted in about 8 to 10 apartments being rented each week. Forty-four apartments had been pre-leased as of the first week of April.

“Victory Flats is coming on the market at a perfect time to support continued job growth less than two miles away,” Joanne El, Simpson Property Group marketing director, development and acquisitions, told MHN. Job increases are occurring at both local high-tech companies and at Nike World HQ campus, which has plans to expand its campus, resulting in more than 500 positions, she added.

Apartments at Victory Flats deliver a number of upscale finishes and features, including 42-inch espresso cabinets with satin nickel hardware in kitchen and bath, and granite countertops in kitchen and bath with 3-inch granite backsplashes in kitchen.

Units feature wood-style plank flooring in entryway and kitchen and plush carpet throughout, air conditioning, stainless steel Whirlpool appliances with brushed-chrome faucets, nine-foot ceilings, available pantries, expansive laundry rooms with full-size washers and dryers, contemporary pendant and sconce lighting, and undermount basin sinks with upgraded gooseneck faucets. Balconies and patios are also available.

TriMet’s MAX, or Metropolitan Area Express light rail, connects Portland City Center with Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, North/Northeast Portland and the Portland International Airport, “all important destinations to our residents,” El said.

In bringing Victory Flats to completion, hurdles were few, according to El. “We had a slight delay in receiving granite countertops, due to the longshoremen strike in February,” she said earlier this week. “But we are back on track with first move-ins Friday, April 17th.”

Among the smoke-free property’s amenities are a resort-style pool and hot tub, 24-hour fitness center with cardio and weights, covered outdoor kitchen with fireplace, resident clubhouse with kitchen and lounge area, wi-fi lounge, covered bicycle parking, dog park, playground and outdoor ping pong area.

“We are thrilled to open our doors and share a new innovation in modern living,” said Lisa Burns, community manager. “Victory Flats embodies the conveniences of city living, fine interior finishes, and award-winning management experience in the heart of Beaverton. The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and after months of planning, we are proud to unveil our first apartments. We look forward to helping our new residents achieve this victory in finding the perfect place to live.”
