Mumbai—The Trump Organization has unveiled plans for Trump Tower Mumbai, which will be developed in collaboration with Indian real estate developer Lodha Group. The 75-story tower will be the second property to bear the Trump brand in India. The 22-story Trump Towers Pune, which is in the city of Pune in the state of Maharashtra not far from Mumbai, is slated for completion in 2015.
The developer hasn’t specified the number of units, nor the exact timetable of development, but does say that Trump Tower Mumbai will offer residents various “lifestyle privileges.” These include a 24-hour resident manager and white-glove services, access to global Trump luxury properties, and, for the first time in India, a fractional membership to a private jet service.
Trump Tower Mumbai will be gold colored, and include three- and four-bedroom residences with interiors designed by HBA Singapore, which specializes in hospitality design. The property will also include German Poggenpohl kitchens, five-fixture master bathrooms, indoor Jacuzzis, built-in TVs and seven-level security.
The Lodha Group is currently developing over 35 million square feet of properties, with more than 20 projects under way in India and other countries. One of its notable projects is World One in Mumbai, which will be the world’s tallest residential tower upon completion next year, at 117 stores (1,450 feet). The company’s also working on New Cuffe Parade, a mixed-use development set to become the new city center of Mumbai.
Recently the Lodha Group also expanded its international presence with the acquisition of MacDonald House at 1 Grosvenor Square in central London from the Canadian government for £300 million ($497 million). Early this year, the company acquired New Court at 48 Carey Street, also in central London.
