Trio of Developers Plan $66M ‘Village-Style’ Community

Maitland, Fla.—The Allen Morris Company, along with Lamm & Company Partners and Millenia Partners, will develop Maitland City Centre, a $66 million mixed-use development in the Orlando, Fla., submarket of Maitland.

The development will include 35,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and offices, a seven-story parking garage and a six-story, 244-unit apartment community, consisting of 220 one- and two-bedroom rental apartments and 24 live/work units encompassing one bedroom and an office.

Overall, Maitland City Centre will encompass a three-acre full city block with bustling sidewalks, trendy dining venues, high-end retail establishments, art and design galleries and everyday conveniences.

“The property’s appeal is the village-style concept. It will include a park, rental apartments, retail space, restaurants, and office space, and within a walkable community,” W. Allen Morris, The Allen Morris Company’s chairman & CEO, told MHN. “It is an opportunity to develop a true, mixed-use project, one that will further the Maitland’s community sense of place.”

The project’s ability to live, work and play within a downtown city center, makes it special. Amenity-wise, the rental apartments will include resort-like elements, including a courtyard pool with palm-lined sundeck with cabanas. An expansive state-of-the-art fitness facility will offer the latest exercise equipment, and specialized areas such as yoga, Pilates and spinning. Residents will also have access to a 24-hour business center, high speed public Wi-Fi and conference rooms.

The development will be located across the street from Maitland’s City Hall and the city park. It’s also directly across from Festival Street, a lively, pedestrian-friendly block that will play host to regular events including concerts, outdoor movie nights, art shows and much more.

Maitland City Centre is expected to break ground this fall and slated for occupancy in 2017.
