Sacramento, Calif.—Tricorp Hearn Construction recently celebrated the completion of Foothill Farms Senior Apartments, a $26 million, 138-unit affordable housing facility. Tricorp Hearn Construction worked in partnership with BRIDGE Housing, Kuchman Architects and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA). The grand opening ceremony represents the culmination of many years of effort by the community to expand successful re-development to an under-utilized area and brings much-needed housing to a growing senior population.
Situated on 4.5 acres, Foothills Farms Senior Apartments consists of four two- and three-story buildings linked together with breezeways, surrounding a main courtyard featuring patios and gazebos. Additional amenities include a 4,020 square foot community clubhouse, swimming pool, bocce court and community gardens. The property also features a bioswale that filters and slows storm runoff prior to its entry into the public storm drainage system. Tricorp Hearn, BRIDGE Housing and Kuchman Architects kept the project on time and on budget with strategic component, material and phasing selections to create aesthetically appealing, affordable apartments.
