Charlotte, N.C.—Construction has started on The Enclave at Bailes Ridge, a $31.4 million luxury apartment community in Charlotte, N.C. The Sterling Group, in partnership with Braxton Development, is developing the 246-unit community in the Charlotte submarket of Lancaster County. Opening is slated for early 2014.
Situated on 21 acres, The Enclave at Bailes Ridge will feature 15 two- and three-story garden-style apartment buildings and 118 garages. The nine different floor plans will range in size from 695 to 1,353 square feet, with rents beginning at $800 a month. Unique craftsmen design, attention to detail and comprehensive amenities are expected to help elevate the community to “best in class” status.
The Enclave at Bailes Ridge was designed by SGN+A Architects, which is based in Decatur, Ga. The project engineer is John R. McAdams Engineering of Charlotte. When complete, the community will be managed by Sterling Management LLC.
Residences will offer full-size washers and dryers, fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops, frost-free refrigerators with icemakers, microwaves and dishwashers. In select homes, kitchens will include breakfast bars or gourmet islands. Private patios or balconies, wood grain and ceramic tile flooring, glass-enclosed showers, tray ceilings and spacious walk-in closets are offered.
Residents can expect to be greeted with amenities and finishes of upscale, single-family homes. Common-area amenities will include a resort-style swimming pool with arbor, grilling stations with outdoor fireplace, car care center, resident clubhouse, cyber café with Wi-Fi, media-gaming room, fitness center with best-in-class equipment, adjacent tot room and recycling center.
“These apartments will set the standard in Indian Land as one of the finest, most aesthetically-pleasing and functionally-designed communities in the market,” says John Ehrhardt, assistant vice president at Sterling Management. “Residents will be given +1 Sterling Customer Service, as this is what sets Sterling Management apart. At Sterling, we believe in exceeding expectations, one customer at a time.”
Erhhardt adds that developing The Enclave at Bailes Ridge will allow Sterling to offer a luxury lifestyle to an underserved area.
“We found this submarket in Northern Lancaster County that caught our attention,” he remarks. “The business fundamentals and strong leadership we found in Indian Land were some of the strongest we have seen, and we knew it was a place [in which] we wanted to do business.”
