The Sterling Group Announces Opening of $7.5M Indiana Seniors Community
The Sterling Group has announced the grand opening of its new $7.5 million seniors community in Mishawaka, Ind. The community is owned by Heritage Place at LaSalle Square LP, whose partners include Memorial Hospital of South Bend and National Equity Fund, Chicago.
Mishawaka, Ind.—The Sterling Group has announced the grand opening of its new $7.5 million seniors community in South Bend, Ind. The community, named Heritage Place at LaSalle Square, is owned by Heritage Place at LaSalle Square LP, whose partners include Memorial Hospital of South Bend and National Equity Fund, Chicago.
Heritage Place at LaSalle Square includes 72 apartments. It offers one- and two-bedroom plans, which range from 675 to 875 square feet. Units include cable and Internet capabilities, emergency pull-cords and call buttons and an intercom system.
Building amenities include a laundry facility, exercise room, beauty salon, community room, library and patio area with a grill.
The community features several environmentally conscious elements. It meets the bronze certification offered by the National Green Building Standard. Units also include Energy Star appliances.
As a service to the older residents, Memorial Hospital provides a Resident Life Assistant on-site 20 hours per week. The Resident Life Assistant helps plan social activities, educational opportunities, fitness activities and helps encourage social interaction among the residents. Additionally, Memorial Hospital’s division of Community Healy Enhancement provides a nurse to perform health checks and administer flu shots.
