Kansas City, Mo.—The Opus Group, a Minneapolis-based commercial real estate company, announced that its subsidiary Opus Design Build LLC is the design-build contractor for a new luxury community in Kansas City, Mo., called 51 Main.
51 Main will include six stories and 176 units, as well as 10,000 square feet of retail space. It will be located in the South Plaza Neighborhood, which features dining, entertainment and retail.
The community will offer several luxury amenities for residents.
“The mixed-use development will feature multiple luxury lifestyle amenities—club house, outdoor courtyard and pool and covered parking—that will make 51 Main a desirable living option in Kansas City,” Oscar Healy, vice president, Opus Design Build LLC, tells MHN. “Additionally, it is in close proximity to the Plaza offering residents convenient access to shopping, dining and entertainment.”
The construction began in January 2013, and the first residents are expected to move in in the early fall of 2014.
“This is an exciting project for individuals interested in desirable rental living options in Kansas City, and we’re thrilled to have been selected by VanTrust Real Estate as the construction partner,” Healy says. “We will leverage Opus’ design-build delivery method and residential living expertise to ensure timeline and cost efficiencies.”
