The Altman Cos. Completes Garden-Style Apartments

Tampa, Fla.—The Altman Cos. is on the verge of completing its garden-style apartment property, Altís at Highland Park. The development is at 11571 Fountainhead Dr. in the Westchase neighborhood of Tampa.

The property offers studios, along with one-, two- and three-bedroom units. There’s also a retail component that sports a Starbucks coffee bar and Internet cafe. Other retail is in the immediate neighborhood.

Common amenities include a pool and a poolside lounge with a chef-inspired demonstration kitchen and fireplace, 24/7 club-class fitness center and a yoga and aerobics studio with on-demand virtual fitness programs. There’s also a game center, conference room, and private community garden.

In addition to Altís at Highland Park, the Altman Cos. has another apartment complex in Tampa, Altís at Grand Cypress, a 304-unit property at 1901 Cypress Preserve Dr. There are plans for two additional apartments in the market in the works.

Altman also has a property that is of the same brand elsewhere in Florida, the Altís Sand Lake near Orlando; it too is nearly complete. Since 1968, the company has developed, constructed, acquired and managed in more than of 24,000 multifamily units in Florida, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and North Carolina.
