Conroe, Texas—Allied Orion Group has broken ground on Harper’s Retreat, an apartment community in Conroe, Texas. Slated to open late 2015, it’s the first multifamily property to be developed in the 884-acre Harper’s Preserve master-planned community.
Designed by Meeks + Partners, plans for the apartments call for one- and two-bedroom units with wood flooring, ceramic tile and other designer touches. Common amenities will include a resort-style swimming pool, cabanas, grilling stations, a wellness/fitness center, dog park, clubhouse and cyber café.
Harper’s Retreat is located at 17011 Harpers Way in Conroe, which is the seat of Montgomery County, north of Houston. The master-planned community is east of The Woodlands, with access to I-45 and Texas 242.
At completion, Harper’s Preserve will be home to about 1,700 families. Development at the property began in 2011. The community’s amenities include a lake for fly fishing and walking trails, and the first part of the community to be developed, West Village, features a bowling green, horseshoe pits and a bocce court.
Allied Orion Group is multifamily specialist headquartered in Houston. The company has acquired or developed more than 13,000 multifamily units, and has a portfolio of about 25,000 units under management nationwide.
