Miami Beach, Fla.—GLASS, an 18-story boutique condo building located at 120 Ocean Dr. in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, has completely sold out. The property is unusual in that it’s composed of only 10 units. According to developer Terra Group, the property could have included as many as 45 units, but it opted for the fewer number.
Designed by Miami architect Rene Gonzalez and featuring landscape designs by Raymond Jungles, the GLASS name is apt. Each non-penthouse unit takes up a full floor, with extensive glass to offer 360-degree views to residents. The three-story penthouse recently sold for $20 million to an unidentified buyer.
The building’s first five floors house common areas, including the lobby, pool and gym. The amenity deck features lounging and sunning areas, swimming pool, spa and landscaping. Personalized services include an onsite estate manager, pool and valet services, housekeeping and maintenance, 24-hour security, and a resident beach club with attendant service.
GLASS is one of the first new residential developments to be completed in the city of Miami Beach in almost five years, as well as the last high-rise in the South of Fifth enclave due to zoning restrictions. With its closings now complete, residents of the tower are expected to begin moving in this month.
Terra’s next residential development, Eighty Seven Park, will soon rise a few miles to the north in Miami Beach’s North Beach neighborhood. That project, designed by architect Renzo Piano and featuring landscapes by West 8, will comprise 70 oceanfront residences adjacent to a 35-acre public park.
