TCI Breaks Ground on TX Development
Situated within the 1,200-acre Mercer Crossing project in Farmers Branch, the 256-unit property is scheduled for completion by first quarter 2020.
Transcontinental Realty Investors Inc. (TCI) is expanding its Mercer Crossing development in the Dallas-Forth Worth submarket of Farmers Branch, Texas. The firm has begun construction on Dominion at Mercer Crossing Apartments, schedule for completion by first quarter 2020. TCI has sold this parcel and several other pieces of land to various developers.
Located at 11771 Mira Lago Blvd., the community will offer 256 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Comprising two, four-story buildings, Dominion at Mercer Crossing Apartments will feature gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, designer lighting and plumbing fixtures, wood-plank flooring, energy star appliances and washer/dryers. Specific units will also offer private yards. Common area amenities will include:
- resort-style pool
- tanning ledges and cabanas
- fully equipped fitness center
- walking trail
- parking garage
Dominion at Mercer Crossing Apartments is situated within the 1,200-acre Mercer Crossing project. The property is within close proximity to interstates 635 and 35E, and the George Bush and Sam Rayburn Tollways. The finished development will offer retail, hotel, residential, restaurant and corporate office space. In June, TCI and its subsidiary, Adobe Properties, broke ground on Lakeside Lofts, a 498-unit luxury community, also located within Mercer Crossing.
“Though TCI isn’t the direct developer of this property, we do appreciate working with quality third party developers,” said Daniel Moos, president & CEO of TCI, in a prepared statement. “Mercer Crossing is on track to be one of Dallas’ premier locations and it is exciting to watch an asset being built right outside your office window. TCI sold the parcel of land to this premier developer and continued to work together to ensure the success of the project.”
