Dallas—StreetLights Residential and Stonelake Capital Partners have announced their plans to build a Class A residential development in Stonelake’s Trinity Village residential district in West Dallas. The announcement was made Sept. 15 at the Focus On The Future luncheon sponsored by the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce and West Dallas Foundation.
“StreetLights is proud to announce our first apartment development in West Dallas and we are excited to invest in this dynamic neighborhood,” says StreetLights CEO Doug Chesnut. “The goal of Trinity Village is to create great streets and sidewalks with lighting and street trees designed so that people feel safe, in addition to a linear urban park where neighbors will want to be outside and interact. As with all projects, we are taking into account the needs and aesthetic of the neighborhood.”
The 25-acre site of Trinity Village is located at 1000 Singleton Boulevard near the southwest corner of Singleton Boulevard and Sylvan Avenue and is currently being used for industrial purposes and 18-wheeler parking and repair. The location is in close proximity to the Trinity Groves development, which offers an assortment of restaurants, retail and entertainment locations.
While Phase One of the project will include the residential community that will include about 300 apartment units, future plans for Trinity Village include a mix of apartment and single family homes according to Stonelake Managing Partner, Kenneth Aboussie.
“We are excited to invest in the West Dallas neighborhood,” he says. “Trinity Village will be an urban resideitial district with a mixture of apartment homes and single-family homes where residents will have the ability to walk to retail and entertainment venues and easily access major employment centers in Uptown, Downtown and the Medical Center via the newly constructed Margaret Hunt Hill and Sylvan Avenue Bridges. We are excited to revitalize this decades old industrial property into a vibrand district where people will want to live by creating a sense of place that is respectful to the heritage of West Dallas.”
The first apartments constructed during the first phase of Trinity Village are expected to deliver in summer of 2016.
