Multifamily developer StreetLights Residential and Westdale Real Estate Investment and Management have opened a new 355-unit luxury community, The Alastair at Aria Village, as part of the Aria Village master-planned development north of Atlanta.

StreetLights and Westdale broke ground on the suburban community in Sandy Springs, Ga. in late 2017. BMO Harris Bank provided a $61.5 million construction loan, according to Yardi Matrix. SLR Construction served as the general contractor, while the architecture was designed by Looney Ricks Kiss with landscape design by TBG Partners. Interiors were completed by Ink + Oro.

Located at 6500 Aria Blvd., the community offers units ranging in size from one to three bedrooms and from 701 to 2,068 square feet. The apartments will feature modern interiors with island seating, granite countertops, custom cabinetry and other touches, and select residences will include screened porches and side yards.

Suburban neighborhood takes shape

Developed by Ashton Woods and Westdale, the overall Aria Village project also includes single-family homes in addition to 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. The community neighbors the new, 12-acre Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters, which opened in March 2018 at Abernathy Road and Mercedes-Benz Drive. State Farm also operates a large office less than 2 miles away in Park Center, a 2.2 million-square-foot development whose second phase is currently underway.

The Alastair at Aria Village marks the first Atlanta project for StreetLights, which has a portfolio of 13,000 multifamily units completed, in progress or planned in 11 cities across six states. The company recently broke ground on The Jackson, a 340-unit luxury community in Arlington, Texas, that forms part of a master-planned community called Viridian.
