Stonemark has expanded its management portfolio in Georgia after being tapped to manage Fountain Brook Apartments. Dell Horne, regional manager at Stonemark, told Multi-Housing News that Read Property Group LLC hired the firm, who will take over the leasing, marketing and property management of the community in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.

The 224-unit community offers one- and two-bedroom floorplans that range in size from 850 to 1,300 square feet. The units were built with patios or balconies, walk-in closets and washer and dryer connections with select units offering sunrooms. Fountain Brook’s amenities include a clubhouse, storage room, two pools and garages. Horne told MHN that the community was 99.1 percent occupied.

Located at 100 Brookhaven Circle, Fountain Brook is located near the border between Georgia and Tennessee. The community’s location gives residents access to nearby universities like University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Chattanooga State Community College and Southern Adventist University. In Georgia, Fountain Brook is also near many attractions like the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park.

READY TO RENOVATE

With the new management assignment, Horne told MHN that Stonemark will conduct renovations to Fountain Brook’s units and amenities. The company is planning to add a playground, fitness center, dog park and outdoor kitchen near the community’s existing pool, while the units will be outfitted with stainless steel appliances as well as updated lighting, flooring and paint.

Earlier this year, Stonemark was also tapped to manage the 699-unit Legacy Apartment Homes in College Park, Ga. Alongside its leasing and managing responsibilities, the firm similarly had plans to upgrade the apartments to appeal more to residents.
