SF Luxury Apartments Open in Highly Sought-After Neighborhood
Monogram Residential Trust has developed a 12-story, 121-unit multifamily community in the Mission District.
San Francisco—Monogram Residential Trust Inc. has developed Olume, a 12-story, 121-unit multifamily community in San Francisco’s highly sought-after Mission District.
“In addition to offering a ‘tailored living’ experience, this community supports Monogram’s market-driven strategy and emphasis on growth in core coastal markets,” Jim McGinley, Monogram’s senior vice president and chief development officer, told MHN. “Both the location and the building are unique and desirable, and worthy additions to the Monogram Apartment Collection.”
Located at 1401 Mission St., Olume’s units feature Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient lighting, and gourmet kitchens with custom cabinetry and granite countertops. The bedrooms offer distinctive sliding wood doors and feature light-inviting glass wall panels.
Community amenities include spacious lounge seating, fire pits, grills, an outdoor TV, an entertainment area and kitchen, and a rooftop that offers a 1,240-square-foot fitness center and a dog run. Residents will also have exclusive access to the City CarShare vehicles parked on the premises, and have access to enclosed garage parking with controlled access and 6,000 square feet of usable, open green space.
Olume also includes a lobby coffee bar, electric car charging stations, high-tech package delivery locker systems and onsite bike storage, maintenance and repair.
“Arguably, San Francisco is the focal point of perhaps the fastest growing, most lucrative and prestigious business segment in the United States. Not to mention, the city is beautiful—one of the best educated, culturally diverse markets in the world—and that makes the area highly attractive for some of the smartest, most creative and talented people in the world,” McGinley said. “That, combined with a continuous increase in job growth, opens the door to thousands of people who are willing to pay a premium to live here. The area has and continues to draw residents from across the bay area and beyond.”
Olume’s convenient location gives residents unparalleled access to the mission district, the market district, Yerba Buena Gardens, the San Francisco Opera and access to popular restaurants and retail. Additionally, Olume is located in close proximity to Bay Area Rapid Transit and Central Freeway.
“The location allows its residents to live close to transit, and with a 97 Walk Score, provides its residents convenient access to the amenities, restaurants, and retail they enjoy most about a great urban city like San Francisco,” McGinley said.
Monogram partnered with Martin Building Company to co-develop the boutique-style community, which is striving for LEED Silver certification.
