Pooler, Ga.—Miami-based Shepherd Health and the senior living division of Cobalt Medical Partners have revealed Shepherd Living at Savannah Quarters, a senior living community in metro Atlanta. The community will be managed by Shepherd Senior Living.

“We do considerable research when deciding where to locate our communities, and we are excited to be a part of Pooler and west-side Savannah. This is going to be a dynamic, thriving addition to the region, and we look forward to providing a highly personalized resident experience, while integrating our distinctive blend of health and wellness offerings,” Christine Menedis, co-founder & CEO of Shepherd Health, said in prepared remarks.

The joint venture acquired the property from Southwest Quadrant Development and is developing the community in cooperation with United Community Bank, architectural firm Erdman, and contractor DeAngelis Diamond. Throughout the construction phase, the development project will create approximately 200 jobs and more than 65 permanent jobs upon its completion. Shepherd will be contracting health and wellness experts, caregivers, administrative and business staff and workers in the food service industries and grounds maintenance for the facility.

The new 124-bed community is part of the 10o-acre Westside Medical Campus. Shepherd Living at Savannah Quarters will feature a wide range of amenities, including a gourmet farm-to-table food, fine wine storage, full-service salon, a greenhouse, private kitchens, animal therapy, extensive walking trails and landscaping throughout the large grounds. The wellness lifestyle also includes daily classes, such as meditation, yoga, aerobics and circuit training.
