Senior Lifestyle is developing North Shore Place, a five-story retirement building in Northbrook, Ill., that is set to open in summer of 2014.

Northbrook, Ill.—Senior Lifestyle is developing North Shore Place, a five-story retirement building in Northbrook, Ill., that is set to open in summer of 2014.
“North Shore Place will be a state of the art luxury retirement community specializing in assisted living and memory care services,” Jerrold Frumm, Senior Lifestyle’s executive vice president of development and acquisitions, tells MHN. “While our portfolio has grown to include 115 properties throughout 22 states, our roots remain in Chicago. We are committed to providing quality options within Chicago for residents that require affordable accommodations to residents that are seeking luxury services.”
With 156 luxurious apartment-style units on 7.2 acres, residents will enjoy spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments and will have access to extensive hospitality services, life enrichment programs and personalized care.
“North Shore Place will have a caring staff that are professionally trained and dedicated exclusively to assisting residents with memory loss,” Frumm says. “Of the 156 units, 40 are designed and operated specifically for memory care. Best of all, North Shore Place will offer its residents the same level of services they have grown accustomed to without paying a large entrance fee upon move-in.”
Apartments will include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, plus balconies. Community wide, there will be a formal dining room and a casual bistro, a landscaped exterior walking path and pond, a secured exterior terrace for residents with memory loss, a cyber café, wellness center and spa, plus a 24/7 licensed nurse on staff.
According to Frumm, the property was designed with the beauty of the North Shore in mind. It is located in Northbrook very close to Ravinia outdoor music festival and the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and the neighborhood is known for its wonderful schools and community. North Shore Place also provides great accessibility to North Shore on both side of the Eden’s Expressway.
