Scully Co. Expands NJ Community

The developer will add 220 units to Hamilton Greene in Mays Landing. Completion of the new component, The Glades at Hamilton Greene, is scheduled for 2021.

Hamilton Greene

Scully Co. has started the expansion of Hamilton Greene, a 416-unit community in Mays Landing, N.J. The Glades at Hamilton Greene will be a 220-unit extension adjacent to the existing structure, slated to welcome its first residents in the spring of 2020. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2021.

Located at 3401 Montgomery Drive, Hamilton Greene was completed in the mid-1980s and includes units ranging between 814 and 1,325 square feet. The community features a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, clubhouse, playground, tennis courts, multi-sport court, walking/jogging paths and landscaped surroundings.

Modern design

The new one- and two-bedroom units will feature a modern style, open layouts and stainless steel appliances. Upon completion, 80 percent of The Glades at Hamilton Greene will include garages with direct access to the units.

The property is 15 miles away from Atlantic City, N.J., and its wide array of entertainment options such as casinos, convention center, golf courses and amusement parks. Stockton State University and Atlantic Cape Community College are within an 8-mile radius. The Atlantic City International Airport is less than 6 miles away, while The Atlantic City Expressway and Garden State Parkway provide easy access throughout the area.

Mays Landing has been hungry for new product for many years since the last decade has delivered less than 100 multifamily apartments. Hamilton Greene has experienced continually strong occupancy against market fluctuation, bringing us confidence that our expansion will be well-received,” Scully Co. President Jessica Scully said in a prepared statement.

Earlier this year, Sterling Properties opened a 69-unit luxury community in Somerville, N.J., dubbed SOMA. Comito Associates designed the property, while Mary Cook Associates delivered the interior and common space features.
