Schindler 3300

The new Schindler 3300 elevator is an eco-friendly update that is sure to please residents, interior designers and architects alike.  The Schindler 3300 requires no machine room, but is still more than capable of handling the needs of a low- to mid-rise residential property. No machine room yields an inherently more efficient property.

But how can an elevator run with no machine room? Schindler has taken an innovative approach to solve this problem with the installation of a small hoist machine and inverter directly in the overhead space. The system ditches the traditional wide-diameter steel cables for a flexible suspension traction media that uses a much smaller traction pulley diameter (4.25 inches versus the 12 inches required by steel). This improvement lends itself to a smaller motor, and thus, no machine room.

In addition to ergonomically improved engineering, the Schindler 3300 takes advantage of many design features that makes it a true ‘green machine.’ The efficient gearless machine drive was designed with energy savings in mind. In addition, cabs feature low-power LED lighting and door drives with standby modes. Schindler is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and the Schindler 3300 can help earn LEED credits in the following categories: Energy and Atmosphere; Materials and Resources; and Indoor Environmental Quality.

The elevator also provides a new creative outlet for your design team. The impressive but understated cab can be outfitted with a wide selection of colors, textures and wood grains if brushed steel is not your building’s thing. Wall panels are available in baked enamel (solid colors) or laminate (patterns). Handrails are available in painted, brushed and polished finishes.
