ROSS Cos. Names Michael Daugard Acquisitions VP
The executive brings more than 17 years of commercial real estate acquisition experience.

Washington—ROSS Cos. has announced the hiring of Michael Daugard as vice president of acquisitions. He has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate and $4.5 billion of transactions under his belt.
Daugard joined from Rubenstein Partners. He spent most of his career at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, most recently as director of acquisitions and portfolio management. He has also held transaction-related roles for JLL, Lowe Enterprises and The Mills Corp.
“We have expanded our management portfolio, which was nearly entirely metro D.C.-based, to new markets, including Richmond, Va. Mike will play a key role in helping facilitate our strategic growth initiatives involving acquisitions of communities that fit our investment parameters and produce solid risk-adjusted returns,” said Scott Ross, president of ROSS Development & Investment, an affiliate of ROSS Cos.
Daugard graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Maryland at College Park. He later served as an adjunct professor for six years, teaching classes in real estate finance and development.
