Sales for the building have officially begun.Shreve, Lamb and Harmon, architects of the Empire State Building, designed the 99 John Street building back in 1933. Then Rockrose renovated it in 1999 to be a rental housing building.It now contains 442 lofts, mostly studios and one- and two-bedroom units, with some three- and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses ranging in price from $530,000 to $3.3 million.The residences feature soaring ceilings and oversized windows, and many offer private terraces, home offices, walk-in closets and skylights. The company has also upgraded each apartment with luxurious baths and new European-designed kitchens with stainless steel appliances and stone countertops. Residences on the penthouse level will feature cabanas and a spa. 99 John Deco Lofts will offer amenities including complimentary weekday breakfast in the lobby, free wireless Internet access, an on-site fitness center, as well as a comfortable lounge with billiards and a screening room.The roof decks offer panoramic views of the East River, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, as well as the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings.
