Riverfront Residential’s Luxury N.J. Community 65 Percent Occupied

Elmwood Park, N.J.—Riverwalk, a new 158-unit mixed-used community in Elmwood Park, N.J., is already 65 percent leased, according to Riverfront Residential, the community’s developer. This is the first luxury multifamily community in Elmwood Park.

One aspect that might have attracted residents was a recent “New Year New Home” incentive plan, where residents received one month of free rent and an American Express gift card of up to $500. This incentive was offered through the month of January, but because of the positive response has been extended to February, and might be extended even further.

The community, which also includes 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, has one- and two-bedroom apartments, priced from $1,775 a month. The kitchens in the units include Giallo Ornamental granite countertops, custom tile flooring, glass tile backsplashes and stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms feature custom vanities and Calcatta gold marble tops. Additionally, each unit has 9-foot ceilings, wood flooring in living rooms and full-sized washers and dryers.

Riverwalk is located near major roads such as the Garden State Parkway and Routes 80, 46, 21 and 17. It is also near shopping, restaurants, airports and arenas, including Newark Liberty International Airport, Garden State Plaza and MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands Sports Complex.
