Elmwood Park, N.J.—Is there anything more appealing to a renter than getting an apartment ‘rent free’? Riverfront Residential has launched a new marketing program to attract new renters called ‘Live Free ‘Til 2013.’ With this program, Riverfront Residential is offering free rent until the end of 2012 for two-bedroom apartments starting at $2,150 at its Riverwalk community in Elmwood Park, N.J.

“When added up, the free rent is a significant amount of savings,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors, Riverwalk’s marking and leasing agent, said in a press statement. “It represents money that can go directly back into our renters’ pockets and be used for moving expenses, new furniture and more.”

Phase I of Riverwalk, which features 91 one- and two-bedroom apartments, is currently open for leasing. When completed, the community will feature 158 units, as well as 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Riverwalk units feature kitchens with granite countertops, tile flooring, glass-tile backsplashes and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms include custom vanities with gold marble tops. Additionally, apartments include a full-size washer and dryer.

Building amenities for Riverwalk include a fitness center, security system, on-site parking and private river walk.

Urgo hopes that the ‘Live Free ‘Til 2013’ program will be the icing on the cake for prospective residents.

“We are creating unique ways to offer value and bring attention to Riverwalk, and we thought the possibility of offering ‘free rent’ would be hard for many to pass up,” Urgo says.
