RHP Properties Buys MHC Asset in Suburban DC
The buyer plans to expand the mobile home community to a total of 400 homesites.
RHP Properties has purchased Cedarville Park, a manufactured home community in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Brandywine, Md. RHP Properties’ new asset will go through an improvement plan that includes amenities, roads and utilities upgrades. The company also plans an expansion, which will eventually bring the community to a total of 400 homesites.
Located at 10505 Cedarville Road in Prince George’s County, Cedarville Park is a 55-plus, pet-friendly community that encompasses 260 homesites. Built in 1968, the asset’s common-area amenities include a playground, recreational facilities, a clubhouse and RV storage.
The manufactured home community is located close to Cedarville State Forest, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, and multiple retail options, such as Walmart or Costco. Through Interstate 495, residents can easily commute to Alexandria, Va., Washington, D.C., or Annapolis, Md.
Prince George’s County is one of the largest tech hubs in the state, and its population continues to grow due to its hospitality and aerospace industries, said RHP Properties Chief Executive Officer Ross Partrich in a prepared statement.
Earlier this year, the company also acquired a 55-plus manufactured home community in Winter Haven, Fla., and three mobile home communities in Iowa, for a combined $69.3 million.
