Joint Base Lewis-McChord Military Housing Changes Hands

The acquisition expands Lincoln Military Housing’s portfolio by 16 percent, as it now oversees more than 36,000 military family homes at 35 installations in 11 states and the District of Columbia.

939 PSTacoma, Wash.Lincoln Military Housing has acquired 5,139 units at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a U.S. military installation home to I Corps and 62d Airlift Wing, located in the Pacific Northwest’s Puget Sound region.

“For almost 15 years, our mission has been to provide military families with exemplary service in a quality home environment,” Jarl Bliss, Lincoln Military Housing’s president, said. “Lewis-McChord Communities is an outstanding operation and we are confident that the addition of this team will help us continue to pursue our mission and continue to lead in the success of Military Housing Privatization Initiative.”

Joint Base Lewis–McChord is located 9.1 miles south-southwest of Tacoma, under the jurisdiction of the United States Army Joint Base Headquarters.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord is home to more than 40,000 active, Guard and Reserve Service members and 15,000 civilian workers.
