Wood Partners has broken ground on Alta Warehouse District, a 300-unit, luxury multifamily project in Phoenix. Located at 402 W. Lincoln St., the property is one the first apartment communities to be built in the downtown Warehouse District. The four-story asset is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2020.

Community amenities will include a double-height clubhouse area and game room, fitness center, pool, rooftop entertainment space, library and music room. The Warehouse District, a formerly neglected, industrial neighborhood, has been revitalized as a cultural and entertainment hub and a magnet for tech firms. The site has access to the amenities and employment opportunities of downtown Phoenix as well as major universities and event centers.

Wood Partners has built three other Alta projects in downtown Phoenix. The development firm broke ground on a spate of Alta-branded projects this year, including Alta Croft, a 238-unit luxury community in Charlotte, N.C.; Alta Champions Circle, a 285-unit property in Fort Worth, Texas; Alta 289, a 288-unit property in the Dallas suburb of Plano, Texas; Alta Green Mountain, a 260-unit asset in Lakewood, Colo.; and Alta Med Main, a 338-unit community in Houston. The developer also opened its new 260-unit property in the Dallas area, Alta at Mercer Crossing Farmers Branch, in April.
