Walker & Dunlop has hired Michael Davis as senior vice president in its FHA Finance group. Based out of its Charlotte office, Davis will be responsible for originating multifamily loans through the lending programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with a focus in senior housing and healthcare finance.

Before coming to Walker & Dunlop, Davis was a managing director at Silver Leaf Partners and held a principal role in sourcing debt and equity for real estate, private equity and affordable housing acquisition programs. He brings nearly 30 years of commercial real estate expertise to the firm’s HUD healthcare financing team, in which he will be supported by a team of four senior underwriters who specialize in HUD healthcare loans.

“We are thrilled to have Michael join Walker & Dunlop’s best-in-class lending platform and believe that his talents in structuring transactions will be a valuable asset to our clients across the country,” said Keith Melton, Managing Director at Walker & Dunlop, in a prepared statement.
