Summit Contracting Group has completed construction of Volaris Live Oak, a 300-unit high-end community in Sarasota, Fla., owned by Waypoint Residential. The development broke ground in the first quarter of 2018 and started leasing this January.

Located at 2509 Cattlemen Road, the property is adjacent to Interstate 75, roughly 7 miles east of downtown Sarasota. The immediate area offers many dining and shopping options, including the Publix-anchored Centergate Plaza. Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport is approximately 11 miles northwest.

Volaris Live Oak consists of six four-story buildings developed on a 14-acre site. The unit mix features one- to three-bedroom options, with floorplans ranging from 725 to 1,308 square feet. All units have stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and walk-in closets. Communal amenities include a resort-style pool, clubhouse, business center and internet café.

Waypoint Residential currently has six developments underway with a total value of more than $325 million. The other existing Volaris-branded community is Starkey Ranch, a 384-unit multifamily property in Tampa, Fla., where leasing also began in January. In October, the developer started construction on a 301-unit multifamily community in Jacksonville, Fla., after receiving a $34.6 million loan from SunTrust Bank.
