Jamison Completes First Ground-Up Community

Maya, a 72-unit community in Los Angeles, is the first of four new assets Jamison plans to bring to the market this year.

Jamison Properties has finished Maya, its first ground-up construction project, a 72-unit community in Los Angeles. KFA Architects is the designer of the project and Wilshire Construction acted as the general contractor. Maya is the first of four new residential developments that Jamison plans to introduce to the market this year.

Located at 535 S. Kingsley Drive in the Koreatown neighborhood, Maya is close to the Wilshire Metro station and some 25 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The new community is a seven-story development, comprising a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, ranging from 580 to 1,265 square feet. Characteristics of the apartments include high-end, stainless-steel appliances, stone countertops, tile backsplash, plumbing and lighting fixtures, wood-style plank flooring, in-unit washer and dryer, walk-in closets with built-in custom shelving and private balconies.

  • rooftop terrace

“Koreatown is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and the inventory of multifamily product in Koreatown has not kept up with the demand,” said Jamison Properties CEO Garrett Lee, in a prepared statement. “We see that continuing for the foreseeable future, especially as vibrant urban environments such as Koreatown and Downtown Los Angeles become the place of choice for young professionals.”
