Greystar Opens CA Luxury Mixed-Use
- May 16, 2017
Greystar has opened the doors to Access, a new mixed-use development consisting of 115 luxury apartments and 31,240 square feet of retail, in Culver City, Calif.
“Access is uniquely positioned as a boutique mixed-use property that meets the transit demands of modern-day Los Angeles,” Perry Pound, Greystar’s managing director of development, told MHN. “Located in Culver City across the street from the Metro Expo line Culver City station, which opened in May 2016 and connects the beaches of Santa Monica to the Downtown core, the property is one of the first transit-oriented developments in the area.”
Located at 8770 Washington Boulevard, Access features contemporary homes with a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom floor plans and three-bedroom townhomes. The units are as small as 607 square feet and as large as 1,844 square feet.
The modern apartment homes have designer-selected interior finishes with stainless steel appliance packages and quartz countertops. All units also have 9- to 11-foot ceilings, walk-in closets and washers and dryers. Private balconies and patios are available in select units.
Amenities include a modern clubroom with a recreation room, a fitness center with an outdoor yoga studio, a large interior courtyard with a swimming pool, cabanas, outdoor TV lounge, dual kitchens and BBQ area with bench seating and tables.
Access also provides convenient on-site dry-cleaning service, 24-7 package retrieval and weekly complimentary yoga and body sculpt classes. It’s also pet friendly and has plenty of green space for recreation, walking paths and secured bike storage.
The community has been designated LEED Silver Certified by the United States Green Building Council thanks to incorporating sustainable products, drought tolerant landscaping and energy efficient lighting, heating and water fixtures.
Access is situated across from the Exposition Light Rail Transit Station, and is just a short distance from the 10 Freeway and a 10-minute drive from Century City. In addition, Downtown Culver City with its many shops and restaurants and major employers at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Hayden Tract, and Helm’s Bakery are only a short walk away.
“The retail component is anchored by specialty grocer Co-Opportunity Foods, providing organic produce and ready-to-eat meals,” Pound said. “Residents can take care of their banking needs at Bank of the West and stay active at Orange Theory Fitness. A restaurant with outdoor seating will complete the retail offering.”
