Glenmont Capital Management Acquires 14-Acre Tampa Site

The company plans to develop Canopy at Citrus Park, a 318-unit multifamily community.

Tampa, Fla.—Glenmont Capital Management LLC and Arlington Properties Inc., a Birmingham, Ala.-based apartment company, announced the acquisition of a 14-acre site in the North Hillsborough submarket of Tampa. The company plans to develop Canopy at Citrus Park, a 318-unit Class A apartment community.

Located at 6835 Gunn Highway, at the northeast corner of Gunn Highway and Veteran’s Expressway, the project will be minutes away from shopping and dining venues, beaches, Westshore Business District, Tampa International Airport and downtown Tampa. Canopy at Citrus Park will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units averaging 993 square feet and will include amenities such as a clubhouse, a state-of-the-art fitness center, cyber café, a business center, game room and leasing offices. Additionally, a resort-style pool and pool deck will sit immediately behind the clubhouse, adjacent to an outdoor kitchen and fire pit.

Canopy at Citrus Park will represent the twelfth multifamily project undertaken by Glenmont and Arlington since 2002. Glenmont Capital Management recently closed the sale of a $73 million community in Citrus Park.
