Coming Attraction: Miami’s Eighty Seven Park by Renzo Piano
- Feb 04, 2016
The coming of the New Year heralds the start of new construction projects for the constantly developing city of Miami. With its temperate year-round climate and tendency to attract international investors, projects in the Miami market draw in buyers with innovative design and exclusive amenities, and many buy before the buildings near completion.
Beside its location on Miami’s North Beach, Terra’s Eighty Seven Park developed by 8701 Collins Development, Terra, Bizzi & Partners Development, is sure to impress, as it is the first U.S. residential building designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, who designed the New York Times building in New York. The 70-unit community will be bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, a 35-acre public park to the south, and a two-acre private park to the north.
West 8 will lead the design of the property’s landscapes as well as the surrounding parks, and the Paris-based Rena Dumas (RDAI) will be designing the project’s interior and exterior spaces. Site work is already underway and vertical construction is expected to begin by the second quarter of 2016.
