- Jan 23, 2017
Cincinnati—Milhaus, a developer that specializes in Class A urban infill, mixed-use and multifamily residential buildings, recently announced that the Gantry Apartments in Cincinnati have been awarded LEED Silver Green Building certification. Indianapolis-based Milhaus Property Management is the manager of the 131-unit community.
Located at 1580 Blue Rock St., Gantry was built within the Northside neighborhood, steps away from local shops, restaurants and parks. According to Yardi Matrix data, the three-building property was completed in 2016. Gantry consists of 25 studios, 68 one- and 38 two-bedroom apartments. Amenities include controlled access, detached garages and 135 parking spaces. The property incorporates 8,132 square feet of retail space.
“Gantry residents enjoy a more sustainable lifestyle simply through the property’s location and design, which is an intentional process set through all stages of development, from the original planning to construction, selection of apartment equipment and even education with tenants around energy savings,” said Jake Dietrich, director of development at Milhaus, in a prepared statement.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED rating system recognizes communities like Gantry that utilize eco-friendly practices for design, construction, maintenance and operation. Gantry achieved LEED Silver certification by incorporating green strategies for efficiency, indoor environments and overall energy savings in the project.
