After completing a $5 million renovation at a 120-unit affordable housing community in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dominium has also reopened Quail Chase in Houston. The fully affordable property encompasses 248 units and underwent a $7 million rehabilitation. According to Yardi Matrix data, the owner purchased the asset in late 2017 using a $18.8 million loan from U.S. Bank.

Located at 500 W. Airtex Blvd., in the northern part of the metro, the 34-building property provides easy access to Interstate 45 and several dining and entertainment options nearby. Quail Chase features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Following the revamp, each unit includes washers and dryers, new LED lighting, fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops and Energy Star appliances, new plumbing fixtures and extra storage.

The owner also remodeled the common areas of the asset, such as the clubhouse building, fitness center, computer room and theater room. Furthermore, Quail Chase now has an outdoor splash pad play area, a large playground, a turf play field and an outdoor seating pavilion with grilling stations.
